The Bachelor of Accounting, Banking and Finance includes general education courses, courses in Finance, Business Administration and Economics and specialization in the disciplines of Accounting and Banking. The specialization courses are excellently connecting theory with practice and give the students an opportunity to deepen their respective fields. This objective is achieved through modern and alternative teaching methods and incorporating the latest developments in the field of Finance. The direction of Banking provides the student with a comprehensive theoretical and applied education in the field of financial services and markets, both nationally and globally. Students of the Bachelor of Accounting, Banking and Finance will study, among other things, the material of compulsory subjects of Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Theory, of Accounting, of Financial Mathematics and Statistics, which is the appropriate foundation for their respective specializations.
Students will cover important areas of specialization of the Bachelor of Accounting, Banking and Finance, such as Markets Derivatives, Principles of Safety and Risk Management, Financial and Operational Analysis as well as Finance and Estimates of Real Estate.
Third and Fourth Year
Offers the opportunity for specialization in Investment Analysis, Investment Banking, and the Financial Business Management and Banking. In the fourth year, however, the student must write a dissertation that will cover additional teaching part of the program. For successful completion of the course, students will be required to fulfil all requirements of the Bachelor of Accounting, Banking and Finance.
Third and Fourth Year
Offers the opportunity for specialization in Investment Analysis, Investment Banking, and the Financial Business Management and Banking. In the fourth year, however, the student must write a dissertation that will cover additional teaching part of the program. For successful completion of the course, students of the Bachelor of Accounting, Banking and Finance will be required to fulfil all Programme requirements.
The specialization of Accountancy offers a unique opportunity for the student to acquire the appropriate background for the professional certification of the Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Students, upon successful completion of their studies, will be examined only in 5 of the 14 tests required for the successful acquisition of professional certification and ACCA professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant. Also the topics covered in some of the subjects of the third and fourth year offer the knowledge base for the last 5 tests for the qualification of ACCA in professional level. Moreover, graduates of this Bachelor of Accounting, Banking and Finance obtain comparative advantages compared to their authorized accountants who have only professional certification, since after acquiring a recognized undergraduate title may continue their studies at postgraduate level.
