The Department of Theological Studies aims to provide students with modern knowledge and skills that will allow them to take part in the scientific-socio-economic and cultural development and contribute effectively to the staffing of the Church and Education. The Department offers programmes that promote research and innovation and maintain a high sense of excellence in producing knowledge.

In addition, they meet local and national needs and promote ties between the Archdiocese and the Dioceses of the Church of Cyprus. At the same time, the Department equips students with theoretical and practical skills, to strengthen their problem-solving skills in the context of the functional, pastoral, and pedagogical needs of an ever-changing environment.

OUR COLLABORATORS

The Department of Theological Studies participates through its Head in the “Faith and Order” Department of the World Council of Churches (Geneva), as well as in the two-year International Patriarchal Conference of Orthodox and Roman Catholic Theologians from all over Europe

The Department also collaborates on a scientific and teaching level with the Theological Schools of Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as with the Hellenic Clergy Training Foundation of the Archdiocese of Athens.
