Visiting Lecturer


Dr. Charis Kaite is a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Psychology of Neapolis University Pafos. Charis Kaite holds a PhD in Mental Health from Cyprus University of Technology and a Master’s in Criminology and Forensic Psychology from Middlesex University, England. Charis Kaite has worked as a Special Scientist (Psychology) in Public Universities in Cyprus and as a Visiting Lecturer in several private universities in Cyprus, even in distance learning programmes of undergraduate as postgraduate level. In addition, she has been working as an Assistant Researcher in several research centers in Cyprus. Her main research interests focus on the correlation between chronic diseases and the development of mental illness, as well as in the lived experience of mental health people from their illness. She has plenty of publications in peer reviewed journals, as well as presentations in local and international conferences. She is a member of Cyprus Psychological Association and has been a trainer in HIV/AIDS, on drug prevention programmes of KENTHEA, as well as being generally active in several Volunteer Organizations that are associated with mental health issues.
