Dr Dimitra Kavarnou holds a Ph.D. in Real Estate Economics (with awarded scholarship) from University of Reading, UK, an MSc in Construction Project Management from Heriot Watt University, UK and a BSc in Business Administration from University of Piraeus, Greece. She has a long academic and research experience from several academic Institutions of the United Kingdom such as Cambridge University where she worked as Senior Research Associate, from Nottingham Trent University where she was employed as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Real Estate, Economics and Finance and from University of Reading as a Teaching and Research Assistant during her Ph.D. studies. Her research and publication are focused on residential market dynamics; housing and tourism; effects of tourism on real estate development; real estate prices and rents modelling; and macroeconomic factors on real estate, dynamic interactions across urban and regional markets. She has also worked as an economic and market analyst in the private and public sector of the UK and Greece.
