Dr Georgios-Alexandros Georgiadis is Visiting Lecturer and member of Teaching Staff of Law School in NEAPOLIS University, Paphos in the field of Civil Law since 2021. In the spring semester of the academic year 2020-2021 teaches the following subjects:

  1. General Principles of Civil Law – GR: compulsory, 1st year of studies, Law School
  2. Succession Law – GR: compulsory, 3rd year of studies, Law School
  3. Synthesis of Civil Law and Civil Procedure Law– GR: compulsory, 4th year of studies, Law School

Dr Georgios-Alexandros Georgiadis is Lawyer before the Court of Appeal, member of the Bar Association of Thessaloniki and partner at the law firm “LEX LEGAL SERVICES” since 2013. After his graduation from the German School of Thessaloniki, he studied law at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in 2011 he graduated with honours. He continued with master studies (LL.M.) in the field of Civil Law and Private International Law at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München (2012). In July 2017 he was qualified as Doctor of Law with the grade “Excellent with Distinction” in the field of Civil Law from the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The subject of his thesis, for which he was awarded a scholarship from the German Exchange Academic Service (DAAD), was “Renunciation of rights”. In 2019 he published his second monograph with the subject “Fostering of a minor”, the first edition of which was received an award by the Academy of Athens in 2015. Since 2018 he is post-doctoral researcher at the Law School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The subject of his thesis, for which he was awarded a scholarship from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), is “Abuse of rights in Succession Law” and its completion is estimated in 2021.

Dr. Georgiadis is since 2018 adjunct lecturer according to p.d. at the Law School of Democritus University of Thrace and in 2018 he also taught at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He teaches subjects from the field of Civil Law. In the spring semester of the academic year 2018-2019 he was engaged by the University of Macedonia to teach the subject “Issues of Civil Law and Civil Procedural Law” of the Inter-university graduate programme “Law and Information Technology” between the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia and the Faculty of Law of Democritus University of Thrace. He is member of the Northern Greece Lawyers’ Society and the Greek Association of Civil Law Jurists.
