Mersilia Anastasiadou

Mersilia Anastasiadou is a Lecturer in Diplomacy and International Relations at the Department of History, Politics and International Studies, Neapolis University Pafos. She submitted her PhD at the Department of International, European and Area Studies, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (grade: excellent). She is a Researcher at the Center of Eastern Studies for Culture and Communication of the above mentioned University. She studied Classical Philology at the University of Athens and the University of Sorbonne (Paris IV). She holds an MSc in Cultural Management focusing on Cultural Diplomacy (excellent), Panteion University and an MA in Diplomacy and International Law (distinction), Lancaster University. She has been a scholar of Tirymos Foundation, A.G. Leventis Foundation, the European Academy Research, Italy and the University of Innsbruck, Austria. She served as researcher at the College of Europe, University of Hamburg, Germany as a scholar of the DAAD, a scholar of the International Institute for Human Rights, Rene Cassin, France and of the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights, Greece, from which she was awarded the 1st National Prize. She collaborated ad hoc and as a researcher with the University of the Aegean, the University of Peloponnese, the Institute of International Relations, the Cyprus Center for Research, the Institute of Hellenic Culture, the Cyprus Food and Nutrition Museum, the Center for Geopolitical Analyses, the Hellenic Centre for European Studies etc. As a research fellow of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture she was responsible for the scientific events of the 11th and 12th International Book fair of Thessaloniki and coordinated the International Cultural Academies (International Relations and Cultural Diplomacy in 2014 and Public and Cultural Diplomacy in times of crisis in 2015).
