Outgoing Staff Mobility

Academic and Administrative personnel of NUP have the great chance to undertake a teaching assignment or staff training at a partner University or organization. Staff teaching exchange can only be undertaken to a Higher Education Institution which holds an Erasmus University Charter (EUC) and has an Inter – Institutional Agreement with Neapolis University Pafos. However, a Staff Exchange Agreement can be signed with an Institution that is not listed in our partner Institutions but holds an EUC.

Academic Staff

The program has essential benefits to academic staff: Teachers can gain different perspectives, establish new contacts and build their academic network. Teaching assignments at a partner institution have a minimum duration of 8 teaching hours and a maximum duration of six weeks. If the teaching assignments are shorter than the minimum duration then they must include at least five teaching hours. Teaching mobility can be done once biannually in order for all academic staff to have the chance to participate. All staff can get mobility grand which is allocated by the European Commission in Brussels for subsistence and travel expenses

Eligibility

  • Academic staff must be employed by Neapolis University Pafos
  • Academic staff members must be one of the following nationals of an EU or EEC State, nationals of a candidate Country, individuals recognized by the Republic of Cyprus as refugees, stateless persons or residents.

Duties

As a staff teaching member who participates in the Erasmus Program you will have the chance to arrange a teaching visit, to have meetings with partner colleagues and visit our outgoing students during their studies at a partner Institution.

The teaching program, to which you will submit your application, would have to include not only lectures seminars but also workshops, meetings with other lecturers and field trips.

Members of the academic staff who seek to visit a specific partner University should submit the “Teaching Mobility Funding Request Form” approved by the Dean of their School.

Administrative Staff

Erasmus Program gives the opportunity to administrative staff to participate in the program within the Staff Mobility for Training. This training will give the staff the chance to enhance their knowledge and experiences and gain practical skills relevant to their job.

The Erasmus Program aims to assist the staff to develop their full potential in the work that they undertake for the NUP and support individual career development. This involves spending an agreed period of time at a partner University which holds an EUC (Erasmus University Charter) and has an inter institutional agreement with NUP. If there is no Inter – Institutional Agreement with a specific institution then we can set up a staff exchange agreement.

Staff Training Mobility has a minimum duration of 5 days and a maximum duration of 6 weeks. Staff Mobility for Training can be done biannually. All staff can get mobility grand which is allocated by the European Commission in Brussels for subsistence and travel.

Members of the administrative staff who seek to visit a designated partner University or Organization for training should submit the “Training Mobility Funding Request Form” approved by the Director of their Department.
