“Build Your Future with the Landscape Architecture Programme of Study”

The Master of Landscape Architecture of Neapolis University in Cyprus led by Dr. Julia Georges, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture and with the support of Mr. Spyros Tinis, Director Marketing and Student Recruitment organized an event at Eco Park Golden Garden in Limassol.

As part of this event students and teachers presented their work.  The honorary praise was given, in June 2014 at the International Competition of the International Union of Architects (UIA), to a group of Master of Landscape Architecture with the project: “UTOPIA AND / OR HAPINESS”. The team consists of: Christos Konstantinidis, Graduate Student of Landscape Architecture, Neapolis University in Cyprus, Dr. Julia Georges, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture, Neapolis University in Cyprus, Dr. Anna-Maria Visilia, Lecturer of Landscape Architecture, Agricultural University of Athens.

Models and other work of the students was exhibited, while students and teachers had the opportunity to discuss with interested about the Master in Landscape Architecture and the new Bachelor of Landscape Architecture.

The programs of the Neapolis University in Cyprus in Landscape Architecture are unique in Cyprus and offer in-depth study of the design and management of the natural and man-made landscape. Aspiring to provide graduates with comprehensive knowledge in the design and the different scale landscape planning: public squares, to private gardens, from golf courses to coastal bands, from roads to national parks, from abandoned industrial facilities to historical monuments, from urban areas to the protected natural areas.

Graduates of the program will be able to combine the technical and scientific knowledge with ecological approaches with creative suggestions for the design and layout of the landscapes that surround us and to promote synergy between natural and human systems.

The Degree in Landscape Architecture lasts four (4) years and the Postgraduate two (2) years. The Master in Landscape Architecture lasts for two years and usually is attended on two weekends a month.

Both the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture as well as the Master in Landscape Architecture follows the prescriptions of the European Foundation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), the British Institute of Landscape Architecture (LI), the European Schools of Landscape Architecture (ECLAS) and the National Association of Landscape Architects (PSAT).
