Neapolis University Pafos (NUP), in collaboration with the Pafos Coders & Designers community, is pleased to announce the upcoming Pafos Coders & Designers Meetup, an evening dedicated to artificial intelligence, innovation, and professional networking. The event will take place on Thursday, 29 May 2025, from 19:00 to 21:00 EEST, at the “Keryneia” Amphitheatre, on the university’s campus.
The meetup will bring together students, developers, academics, and design professionals for a dynamic program featuring two insightful talks that explore the real-world applications of artificial intelligence and modern development practices.
The evening will begin with a talk titled “The Birth of Our AI-Dev Startup” by Oleksandr Merlian, offering a first-hand perspective on launching a startup focused on artificial intelligence. Merlian will share the challenges, milestones, and lessons learned from the early days of building a company at the forefront of AI development.
The second talk, “The Agent Stack: Building RAG Systems in Production”, will be delivered by Dani Jota. This session will explore the architecture and deployment of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, focusing on production-ready implementations and practical frameworks for success.
Through this co-hosted initiative, Neapolis University Pafos continues to support cutting-edge dialogue and community engagement in the fields of technology and design. The event exemplifies the university’s commitment to bridging academic excellence with professional practice and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in Cyprus and beyond.
