Open event with international experts on Micro-credentials at Neapolis University Pafos

On 23rd of October 2025, Neapolis University Pafos will host the open event “Beyond the Alliance: Micro-credentials & best practices from around the world”, as part of its international seminar on micro-credentials and lifelong learning. The session will take place from 9:00 to 11:00am at the Keryneia Amphitheatre, Neapolis University Pafos, with remote access available via Microsoft Teams.

The event will feature leading international experts presenting mature implementations of micro-credentials, offering insights into frameworks, delivery models, and recognition practices.

Key speakers include:

  • Professor Stephen Dobson, former dean at Central Queensland University (Australia), presenting the National Microcredentials Framework and the MicroCred Seeker marketplace.
  • Senior Advisor Inghild Marie Mjelva, Education point of Contact for the European University Alliance ECIU at University of Stavanger (Norway), showcasing e-sealed digital credentials, centralised platforms, and European recognition standards.
  • Sarah Brady, Micro-credentials Project Lead, University of Limerick (Ireland), discussing Ireland’s MicroCreds national framework, including accreditation, enterprise engagement, and flexible delivery.

The event will be chaired by Dr. Brit Svoen, Associate Professor at INN University (Norway), and will conclude with a panel discussion and Q&A, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers.

This open event forms part of the international seminar on Micro-credentials and Lifelong Learning, organised by Neapolis University Pafos from 21–23 October 2025.
