Andria Antoniou, PhD, is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering of Neapolis University Pafos (since 2024). Dr. Antoniou specializes in structural modeling through Finite Element and Discrete Element numerical analysis. Her research emphasizes on shielding infrastructures under extreme loading conditions, including ballistic impacts and explosions. Her work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. Dr Antoniou has served as a researcher (2020-2023) in Ballistic Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Norway and as a postdoctoral researcher (2019) in Impact Engineering at the University Grenoble Alpes (UGA) in France. She has also developed an online training course for the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Italy, focusing on impact, ballistic, and fluid-structure interaction simulations. Dr. Antoniou earned her PhD (2018) in Impact Engineering from the University Grenoble Alpes, France.
