Lecturer in Strategic Communication and Marketing
Dr. Harry Ph. Sophocleous is a Lecturer at Neapolis University. He studied in the United Kingdom, where he received his BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of East Anglia, followed by an MSc in Marketing and an MPhil in Social Sciences from the University of Leicester. He later earned his PhD in Political Communication and Electoral Behaviour, jointly supervised by the University of the Peloponnese and Neapolis University Pafos. His doctoral research explored the dynamics of political communication, voter behaviour, and the role of marketing and branding in shaping public opinion and electoral processes.
Alongside his academic activities, Dr. Sophocleous has worked as a corporate communication and marketing consultant, collaborating with organizations in the private and public sectors. His consulting work focused on strategic communication, corporate branding, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management, enabling firms and institutions to adapt effectively in complex and unstable environments.
Dr. Sophocleous has contributed to interdisciplinary research linking marketing with international relations, resilience studies, and communication strategy. He has presented his work in academic conferences and contributes actively to collaborative publications. At Neapolis University, he lectures on topics related to marketing, communication, and management, aiming to bridge theory with applied professional practice. His research interests include Marketing, Political Marketing, Electoral Behaviour, Consumer Behaviour, Communication, Cultural Branding, and Nation Branding.
