Marina Eleftheriadou is Assistant Professor of International Relations & Security at the Department of History, Politics and International Studies at Neapolis University Pafos. She is also Consulting Editor at the Centre for Mediterranean, Middle East and Islamic Studies (CEMMIS). In the past she has served as (adjunct) lecturer at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of the Peloponnese (Greece), as well as Research Associate at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute (EUI) and Research Expert at the Centre for Religious Pluralism in the Middle East (CRPME), an initiative of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her research focuses on the international dimensions of political violence, intra-state conflicts and armed non-state actors, with a focus on the Middle East and Africa region.
