1st Pafos High-level Workshop in Security and Intelligence Studies

Neapolis University in Cyprus and the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies at the University of Buckingham in the UK (BUCSIS), in partnership with the UNESCO Chair on Threats to Cultural Heritage and Cultural Heritage-Related activities of the Ionian University in Greece, have co-organised an intensive workshop in Security and Intelligence studies from 15th to 17th April, 2022.

BUCSIS was established in 2008 as a world-class centre for research into the key Security and Intelligence issues facing the UK and the world in the 21st century and offers innovative programmes in intelligence and security studies, which have strong practice-oriented content prioritising the development of participants’ strong analytical skills and knowledge of international standards of excellence.

The aim of the co-organizers is to bring together academia and experts undertaking cutting-edge research across all relevant domains in an eff­ort to better understand the Security and Intelligence Environment, in which these challenges evolve with a view towards enhancing conceptual clarity and improving the analytical capacity of the workshop’s participants.

Through the hospitality and participation in this scientific event, Neapolis University in Cyprus contributes to further promoting academic excellence, to the production and dissemination of innovative and cutting-edge applied knowledge through the adoption of best practices and internationalisation, as well as its equal and dynamic participation in the core of the European Higher Education Area, as strategic objectives of the operation and development prospects of Neapolis University in Cyprus.
