Architectural Lecture “School X Schools” by Zenonas Shierepeklis at Neapolis University

The importance we give to the care and development of our children needs to be extended to areas where they are educated. Besides functionality, form, textures, colors, light and sounds and the wider environment of schools that are involved in the cultivation and the wellbeing of students, giving stimuli and enhancing the educational process. This finding where highlighted in the architectural lecture by professor of the University of Nicosia, Zeno Shierepeklis, and holder of three National Awards of Architecture (2010, 2007, 1998). The lecture, entitled “School X Schools” was held on Friday, 11/29/2013, on the occasion of the course ARCH H & T10 / S03 «Fundamentals of Architectural Design: The Public Sphere of Architecture” at the Studio of Architecture, in the Neapolis University in Cyprus under the care of Dr. G. Artopoulos and E. Dova, Lecturer in Architecture at Neapolis University in Cyprus. Mr. Sierepeklis, through the presentation of school buildings that he has designed and built, insisted on the multidimensional nature of architecture and the social role of the architect, reminding the attendees that good architecture can have the aftertaste of chocolate…
