The Liaison Office with the business world of the Neapolis University in Cyprus organized an information day for students, academic and administrative staff. The information day was held on Thursday, October 30, in the Auditorium of the University. The three members of the Liaison Office, Nadia Anastasi (PhD), MRS. Georgia Christou (MSc) and MRS. Iliana Keli-George (LL.B-LL.M), welcomed the students and members of the academic- and administrative-staff. The Liaison Office main objective is to provide the link between the productive / social institutions and academia. Also the office wants to promote the research results of the University in to the production and enhance communication and approach of Neapolis University in Cyprus and thesociety.
Initially Dr. Anastasi introduced the members of Liaison office, and stressed that the Neapolis University in Cyprus, through this project, that is funded by the European Union, will give great opportunities to students to practice in local businesses and so gain significant experience and possibilities for a future permanent working position.
Following, Dr. Anastasi presented the projects objectives and desired results, which relate to the provision of information regarding the possibilities and activities of research centers and universities, also the Counselling researchers from research centers, for legal rights and economic exploitation of research products.
Finally, the process and the steps to be followed by interested students or academic staff were descripted.
The Liaison Office to the business world executives thanked the attendees and assured that immediate goal of the office is to link the Neapolis University in Cyprus to the business of Paphos.
