NEAPOLIS UNIVERSITY PAFOS AND DEMOCRITUS UNIVERSITY OF THRACE: JOINT STUDY PROGRAMMES

The Rector of Neapolis University Pafos Professor Pantelis Sklias met at 15.12.2022 with the newly elected Rector of the Democritus University of Thrace, Professor Fotis Maris.

At the meeting, the strategic partnership between the two Ιnstitutions was confirmed, focusing on the exchange of academic and administrative staff and students, the joint participation in European Research Programs and Initiatives, as the  existent  significant cooperation in the European University Alliance EMERGE https://euemerge.eu/ and above all, on the creation and provision of joint  Study Programmes  in the frame work of extraversion and development both of Institutions in the single era of European Higher Education.

The Rector of Neapolis University Pafos, Professor Pantelis Sklias stated:

“We are continuing and deepening our strategic relationship with the Democritus University of Thrace, one of the most qualitative and high-level Universities not only in Greece, but also in SE Mediterranean and Balkans area.

 It is particularly important the creation and provision of joint Study Programmes as well as the strategic partnership in the frame work of significant research European Programs and Initiatives. The joint effort to attract high-level researchers is of mutual benefit and is a key priority of both Institutions.

 I express my satisfaction for this particularly efficient cooperation and I‘m sure for the mutual developmental results for both Institutions. More specific, our participation as full members in the European Alliance EMERGE constitutes the most crucial factor for the further institutional empowerment of our relationship.

 As I have emphasized, Neapolis University Pafos has become a conscious choice in the international academic field and we will continue to work to further strengthen this path.”
