The European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC) and the European Office of Cyprus (EOC) in cooperation with the Student Activity Club Bodies of Universities in Cyprus organized the 1st Academic Student Conference 2016 on the 5th and 6th of February 2016 at the University of Cyprus. The Academic Student Conference is designed to provide a platform for university students to participate in a conference either through presenting their own work, projects, theses, or through attending lectures and workshops, thus promoting a platform for students to share their work/research, connect with other social circles with which they have shared interests and thus promoting the cooperation between students from different universities.
More than 800 students from all public and private Universities have participated in the ASTUCON Conference. Neapolis University has actively participated in the first academic student conference. The coordination of the conference for Neapolis University has been undertaken by the Erasmus and Quality Assurance Officer, Ms. Georgia Christou. The postgraduate student Nikos Anastasiou from the School of Business and the postgraduate students Andri Christodoulou, Maria Christodoulou and Kristallo Arkadiou presented their own sessions with great success. The important contribution of the academics Mr. Kostas Tsagkarides from the Psychology School and Mrs. Michaelina Siakalli from the School of Business has to also be emphasized as they have given the right guidelines to their students.
