In implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation that has been signed between Neapolis University Pafos (Cyprus) and the University of Reading (United Kingdom), a team of academic and administrative staff from the University of Reading – led by the Head of the Reading Law School, Professor James Devenney – visited the Neapolis University Pafos campus from 1 until 6 September 2022.
The University of Reading is among the largest public Universities in the United Kingdom and has been at the forefront of higher education for nearly a century, becoming innovators and pioneers, pushing academic boundaries and leading social change.
The Law School at the University of Reading is a renowned Law School and in the most recent REF (REF 2021) 99% of its research was judged to be of international standing.
The cooperation between the two Institutions aims at enhancing the academic excellence as well as the international and pioneering outlook of Neapolis University Pafos through the development and provision of cutting-edge Programmes of Study at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Ιt also has among its aims to further enrich the programmes of study currently on offer in specific legal fields, to enable students to be awarded two degrees simultaneously, to provide a common ground for the preparation of common actions in the Erasmus+ and other funding programmes, to facilitate the exchange of members of staff, students, researchers, as well as the exchange of administrative and management know-how.
In addition, the cooperation between the two Institutions will set the stage for implementation of joint research actions, such as seminars, symposia, conferences, scientif publications, exhibitions etc, which shall mutually promote academic knowledge and research, the results of which will be disseminated for the benefit of the academic community of the two Institutions as well as of the wider international academic community.
Through this strategic cooperation and the increase in joint actions in current and new scientific fields, it is expected that the international outlook, the academic excellence, as well as the international reputation of the Programmes of Study offered by Neapolis University Pafos will be enhanced.
