Assistant Professor of Steel Structures
Coordinator of the MSc in Structural Robustness for Extreme Loading Conditions
Dr. Panagiotis Stylianidis is an Assistant Professor of Steel Structures in the Department of Civil Engineering at Neapolis University Pafos, where he also serves as Coordinator of the MSc Programme “Structural Robustness for Extreme Loading Conditions”. He obtained his Diploma in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, and his MSc in Structural Steel Design and PhD in Structural Engineering from Imperial College London. His research interests lie in the field of structural engineering, with a focus on steel and composite structures, including structural robustness, the resistance of frame structures to progressive collapse, and structural fire engineering. His work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and he has received the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) Research Paper Prize in 2016 and the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) Outstanding Paper Award in 2018.
