NUP is one of nine universities building EMERGE, an Alliance that works from the geographical and social margins of Europe to make education, research and community life work for everyone.
EMERGE is part of the European Universities Initiative of the European Commission and is funded by the Erasmus+ programme. It brings together universities from the geographical and socio-economic margins of Europe, places that are too often left out of the continent’s big research and mobility networks.
The Alliance is built on one commitment: inclusive, accessible and sustainable ecosystems that co-create knowledge and opportunity with and for marginalised communities. For NUP, that means students and staff in Pafos working directly alongside eight other universities, from Limerick to Lillehammer, on shared courses, research and mobility.
