Restarting the economy can only be based on research, technology and innovation, said on April 28, 2014 the President Nikos Anastasiadis. At the inaugurating of the new Innovative Technologies Laboratory of the Institute of Cyprus, the President Anastasiadis said that “sustainable development, based on research and innovation, creates jobs and contribute significantly to the social well-being” and commended the contribution of the Institute in this effort. The President also announced to grant to the Institute an additional space, the non-utilized buildings of the former Higher Technical Institute by the Government as well as to reopen, the now closed reading space, under the administration of the Institute. The President awarded all Honorary Commissioners of the Institute, while inviting them to continue the excellent work done. Among the winners were Dr. Andreas Moleskis, Director of Administration and Finance of Neapolis University Pafos.
