On Thursday, 23rd of October, Neapolis University and the Association of Cyprus-Israel Friendship Society organized a lecture about the Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Israel.
Speaker was Mr. Giora Solar, Architect – Planner and Specialist in Planning and Management Rehabilitation Architectural Heritage. The paper was fed to a reflection on how to address and approach the rehabilitation Architectural Heritage of Paphos in view of the institution of Paphos Cultural Capital 2017.
Greetings were sent by prof. Solon Xenopoulos, who is the dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Engineering, Land and Environment Sciences, Mr. Michel Harari, Israel Ambassador in Cyprus and Mr. Vaggelis Mavronicolas who is an Architect and the Representative of the Association of Cyprus – Israel Friendship Society in Cyprus.
Coordinator of the event is Dr. Julia Georgi, Head of the department of Architecture, Land and Environment, who highlighted that this event will be the beginning of Neapolis University cooperation with the Embassy of Israel in scientific matters, especially related to Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
On Friday 24th of October, Mr. Giora Solar also gave a lecture at the Graduate School of Landscape Architecture on “Landscape in Archaeological Sites” to the postgraduate students of Landscape Architecture.
The event was held under the auspices of the Embassy of Israel in Cyprus.
