The Neapolis University in Cyprus gives particular emphasis on scientific research and successfully participated in the Seventh Framework in support with the European Project: ECO-CEMENT-New microbial precipitation technology to produce high-strength, economical and eco-cement.
The European Project ECO-CEMENT will allow the recovery of valuable resources from industry, the commitment of CO2 (since 5% of global carbon dioxide emissions from the production of cement) and converting construction products in ecological cement that can used in the manufacture of new materials with environmental applications.
