Dr. Julia Georgi, Assoc. Professor, Chairman of the Department of Architecture, Land and Environmental Sciences of Neapolis University in Cyprus presented the 2014 Olympic venues in Athens, at the Brazilian Architecture Institute-IAB (Institute Arquitetos do Brazil) entitled “Athens 2004 Olympic Games: Interventions, Rehabilitation and Improvement of Open Urban Spaces.”
It is significant to keep in mind that the lecture was part of the lecture series for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and that was subsequent to last week’s lecture given by the architect Pierre-André Martin (RIBA) for the 2012 London Olympic Projects.
The event concluded with a productive discussion coordinated by architect Fabiana Izaga, General Secretary of IAB, Brazil and Vice-President of IAb, Rio and an interview offered by Dr. Julia Georgi at the largest in circulation newspaper in Rio, “O Globo”.
