Participation in the Magellan Exchange programme offers students of NUP the opportunity to study abroad and gain international academic and cultural experience. Participants are fully immersed in the academic and social life of the host institution, acquiring skills and experiences that enhance both their personal and professional development.

What is Magellan Exchange?

The Magellan Exchange is an international student exchange programme that connects universities from different countries, offering mobility opportunities to students and academic staff. The programme aims to strengthen global awareness, intercultural understanding and international cooperation in higher education.

Why choose the Magellan Exchange program?

Participation in the programme offers students:

  • Study in a different academic environment with no additional tuition fees at the host university.
  • Development of language and intercultural skills

Important Note: Students participating in the program continue to pay their tuition fees to Neapolis University Pafos, but are fully exempt from paying any tuition fees to the host university abroad.

Students may participate in the programme for one academic semester or one academic year, depending on the destination and the study programme.

Where can I go?

The Magellan Exchange collaborates with universities in many countries worldwide. Through the programme platform, students can search for available destinations.

The Magellan Exchange network includes nearly 40 partner universities across 16 countries, offering students a wide range of academic and cultural destinations worldwide.

Current partner countries include: Austria, Belgium, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Serbia, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States.

How to Apply?

The application process includes the following basic steps:

  1. Approval from NUP: All students must be approved prior to placement.
  2. Selection of a destination and university through the Magellan Exchange programme
  3. Submission of the application in accordance with the programme guidelines
  4. Application Deadlines:
    Spring Semester: October 15
    Fall Semester / Academic Year: March 15

Deadlines and requirements may vary depending on the destination.
