The Neapolis University Pafos will host the next Pafos Coders & Designers Meetup on Thursday, 23 April 2026, in collaboration with the local Pafos Coders & Designers community, continuing its active engagement with the regional technology ecosystem and its commitment to fostering open, practice-oriented learning.
The meetup will take place from 19:00 to 21:00 (EEST) at the Keryneia Amphitheatre on the university’s campus and is open to students, academics, developers, designers, and professionals interested in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation.
This edition focuses on the rapid evolution of AI technologies and the importance of understanding and building new tools, bringing together participants for an evening of technical insight, creative exploration, and community exchange.
The first talk, “Agents Are Just Loops,” will be delivered by Matthias Maisberger. The session explores the underlying simplicity of modern AI tools, demonstrating how they can be broken down, understood, and rebuilt. Participants will gain a practical mental model for creating, adapting, and taking ownership of their own AI-driven tools.
The second talk, “Pixie: From Idea to Market,” will be delivered by Rene Gräwe. The presentation offers an end-to-end perspective on developing a generative design platform, focusing on the use of local large language models for creative prompting without reliance on external APIs. It will cover the journey from concept to product, including technical challenges, user experience considerations, and the transition toward a functional marketplace model.
