The Neapolis University Pafos (NUP) will host the next Pafos Coders & Designers Meetup on Thursday, 25 June 2026, in collaboration with the local Pafos Coders & Designers community, continuing its commitment to supporting knowledge exchange, innovation, and engagement within the regional technology ecosystem.
The meetup will take place from 19:00 to 21:00 (EEST) at the Ammochostos Amphitheatre on the Neapolis University Pafos campus and is open to students, academics, developers, designers, and technology professionals interested in contemporary web technologies, cybersecurity, product development, and digital innovation.
This edition focuses on the web ecosystem from two complementary perspectives: securing modern web applications and understanding how technology and design collaborate to create successful digital products.
The first talk, “Practical Cybersecurity Testing for Web Applications,” will be delivered by Noa Shtang, a software engineer with extensive experience in developing modern web applications using technologies such as Next.js, React, and Node.js. The session will provide a practical overview of cybersecurity testing, covering common vulnerabilities, penetration testing approaches, API and authentication security, frequent mistakes found in production environments, and real-world examples from contemporary web applications.
The second talk, “Two People. One System. The Product Lives in the Gap,” will be presented by José Ulizarna and Silvia Juarez, Co-Founders of The Digital Wizards. Drawing on their respective expertise in technology leadership and product strategy, the speakers will explore how technical architecture, business objectives, user experience, branding, and product design intersect throughout the development process. The session will offer insights into how multidisciplinary collaboration contributes to the creation of scalable and commercially effective digital products.
In addition to the technical presentations, the meetup will provide opportunities for networking and discussion among participants, fostering collaboration between members of the academic community and industry professionals.
