Visiting Lecturer of Structural Engineering and Reinforced Concrete
Dr. Mohammad Kherais is a Visiting Lecturer of Structural Engineering and Reinforced Concrete at the School of Architecture, Engineering, Land and Environmental Sciences in Neapolis University Pafos (since 2025) and a foreign lecturer of the International BSc Civil Engineering Programme at Baoding University of Technology, Hebei Province, China (since 2025).
Dr. Mohammad Kherais is a Senior Structural Engineer and Freelance Structural Engineer specializing in steel and aluminium structures, with more than eight years of combined professional, research, and academic experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering (2024) and an M.Sc. in Structural Engineering (2019) from the University of Pécs, Hungary, as well as a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Yarmouk University, Jordan (2017). His professional experience includes the structural analysis and design of steel and aluminium structures, large-span structures, industrial buildings, warehouses, hangars, trusses, silos, catwalks, and structural connections for a wide range of European and international projects.
Dr. Kherais also has extensive academic and research experience. He has taught structural engineering courses at the University of Pécs and Baoding University of Technology. His doctoral research focused on the impact of climate change on the mechanical and physical properties of heritage timber structures, and he has published several scientific and conference papers in this field. His technical expertise includes finite element analysis, structural optimization, and structural design according to European and American standards, supported by extensive experience with professional structural analysis and modelling software.
