The Neapolis University Pafos will host the next Pafos Coders & Designers Meetup on Thursday, 26 February 2026, in collaboration with the local Pafos Coders & Designers community, continuing its support for open knowledge exchange and the strengthening of the regional technology ecosystem.
The meetup will take place from 19:00 to 21:00 (EEST) at the Ammochostos Amphitheatre on the Neapolis University Pafos campus.
This edition is dedicated to the Kotlin programming language, one of the most widely adopted modern languages in software development, particularly in Android and cross-platform applications. The event is open to students, academics, developers, designers, and professionals interested in expanding their technical knowledge or exploring new programming paradigms.
The featured talk, “Flirting with Kotlin,” will be delivered by Antonio Roa-Valverde. The session will introduce the core principles and basic syntax of Kotlin, accompanied by practical code examples designed to provide a clear and accessible entry point into the language. No prior knowledge of Kotlin is required, making the session suitable for both beginners and those seeking a structured overview of its foundations.
The presentation aims to combine theoretical explanation with hands-on illustration, encouraging active participation and engagement among attendees. Interactive elements may be included to enhance the learning experience.
Beyond the technical session, the meetup will provide space for networking and dialogue among members of the local tech community, reinforcing collaboration between academia and industry.
