Dr Avgousta Kyriakidou Zacharoudiou is an Assistant Professor in Software Project Management at Neapolis University Cyprus. Prior to joining Neapolis University she was an Associate Professor in Computing at the University of Greenwich London, UK since 2011. Dr Avgousta Kyriakidou Zacharoudiou has obtained her PhD in Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She also holds an MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems (LSE), an MSc Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (University of Greenwich) and a BSc degree in Computer Science (University of Cyprus). Her research interests lie in critically reflecting on the appropriateness of current systems development, management and implementation techniques in the face of changes in both the technology and the increasingly networked, virtual and global business environment within which it resides. This has included qualitative research on agile innovation approaches and organisational agility, globally distributed systems development and management of digital infrastructures, inter-organisational collaborations, virtual collaborations, communities of practice and collaborative work practices.

Dr Avgousta Kyriakidou Zacharoudiou has more than 12 years of experience in Higher education, both in the UK (University of Greenwich and the London School of Economics (LSE) but also in Cyprus (Philips University and Neapolis University). Apart from the managerial roles undertaken throughout her career, revolving around the Employability agenda of the department and quality procedures and academic conduct she has also acted as Programme Coordinator for BSc Programmes and has experience in the development of new programmes of study from BSc to PhD level. She is also an Associate Examiner for the LSE’s external programme. Dr Avgousta Kyriakidou Zacharoudiou is certified in SCRUM (SCRUM Master, awarded by the Scrum Alliance), DevOps Foundations (awarded by the DevOps Institute) and Agile Project Management (awarded by the Agile Business Consortium) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
