Chryssa Konstantopoulou holds a PhD in Tourism Studies from the Department of Tourism Studies at the University of Piraeus, with a dissertation focusing on well-being tourism and its connection to tourism attractiveness and investment policy in Greece. She also holds an MBA in Tourism Management from the Hellenic Open University and a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from the School of Management and Economics of the Athens University of Applied Sciences. Her academic path has been oriented towards tourism, business organization, and the strategic development of tourism enterprises.

She has extensive professional experience in tourism management and education, having worked both in the hotel and travel industry as well as in the academic and research community. She served as Head of Distance Learning at the Institute for Continuing Adult Education (IDEKE), provided secretarial and organizational support at the European Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Governance at the University of Peloponnese, and has collaborated with travel agencies and hotel enterprises. As a researcher, she participates in the “TouKBaSEED” project funded by HFRI, which develops a tourism knowledge base for socio-economic and environmental data analysis.
