Dr. Stalo Georgiou is a member of the Special Teaching Staff in Psychology Department, School of Health Science at Neapolis University Pafos.

She holds an Undergraduate Degree (BMus Music) Musicology at Hull University in United Kingdom, first Postgraduate Degree in Music Composition (MSc) from Hertfordshire University in UK, second master’s degree (MSc) in Public Administration, Educational Management and Administration and a PhD in Music Composition for Films and Media in Hertfordshire University, UK with Title of PhD Thesis: Music Composition for Films and Media: A cross- modal approach to soundtrack composition.

Moreover, she is a PhD candidate for her 2nd PhD (in final process for viva), at Neapolis University Pafos, at Department of Economics and Business. The title of her 2nd PhD is: Effective verbal and non-verbal communication Techniques in the Educational process and the psychological components that effect.

She holds a Diploma in Journalism and Media.

She worked at Manor Hill and Finchley, Primary and secondary schools in UK, as a Head of Music Department, Music Teacher and as a Lead contactor to Choir and orchestra.

She has personally created the Children’s Committee Choir of London: (Paidiki Parikiaki Choir of London), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Cyprus.

She is also a Lead contactor at Kids and Adults Choir of Peyia Municipality and also as an event planning – cultural officer for events.

She has participated in various conferences and research in Cyprus, Greece and United Kingdom. Her research interest of Dr. Georgiou is Psychology of Music and Education, Music composition, Film and Media, Communication- Media and Research.

Dr. Georgiou has composed Music for several films (not narrative films, short films and animated films) and theatre performances and musicals, in Cyprus and UK.

At the same time, she has received several awards from international competitions, and has been an organizer and Judge in Music Talent shows and competitions in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Georgiou has been working as a Special teaching staff in the Department of Psychology at the School of Health Sciences, at Neapolis University Pafos and has been teaching courses as Psychology of Music, Independent Research Study I-II and Multicultural Dimensions of Behaviour. Moreover , she has been working since 2015 as a Programme Administrator in the Psychology Department and the Faculty of Health Sciences , and also in the Department of Doctoral Programs.
