Dr. Tonia-Fleury Artemi is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology in Neapolis University. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Cyprus, with a rich background in psychology, clinical practice, research, and teaching. She earned her doctorate with honours, supported by a full scholarship from the University of Cyprus “Evagoras and Praxandros.” She also holds a Master’s degree in Social and Developmental Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, both of which she obtained with honours, and received a scholarship from the Cyprus Youth Organization for her Master’s thesis.

She teaches at the Neapolis University and in the past at European University of Cyprus and the University of Cyprus as a Scientific Collaborator, offering a variety of courses, including Clinical Psychology, Family Psychology, and Counseling Psychology. Her research activities include significant studies related to gambling behavior and emotion regulation. She has published articles in scientific journals and newspapers and has participated as a speaker and trainer at scientific conferences and seminars concerning psychology and psychophysiology.

She has gained clinical experience at the University of Cyprus Mental Health Center, the Aglandjia Mental Health Center, as well as the Oncology Center of the Bank of Cyprus. She is a member of various professional organizations and actively participates in research programs and workshops focusing on skill promotion based on clinical psychology and music in education (Multimodal Approach for Social-Emotional Learning in HEI, MASH-up in Higher Education – HEI – Erasmus Program) as well as gambling behavior (Understanding Gambling Behavior in Cyprus – URGAME -C).

Her research interests focus on Clinical and Social Psychology, utilizing psychophysiological measures, including addictions, emotion regulation, psychopathy, and various topics related to Social Psychology, such as social identity, interpersonal relationships, authoritarian personality, and gender stereotypes.
