The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth has announced their selection of short films, following an open call for projects that focus around the CoVid-19 pandemic. The specific emphasis of the call addressed how individuals were dealing with the crisis from a personal, social or artistic perspective. The Neapolis University in Cyprus postgraduate program in Digital Video Production is delighted, since two of the 50 films selected belong to: faculty member Dr. Charalambos Charalambous -short documentary “CoVid-19 – UNICORN”- and final year student Despo Potamou -short animation “Χωρίς Φτερά” [Without Wings]-. All films were selected by a jury based on criteria such as creative originality, specific relevance to the conditions of the call and the accomplishment of completed work under the difficult demands of a lockdown. Each recipient was awarded funding, part of the Cultural Services special aid towards audio-visual creation and all films are available for online screening, following this link:
