Digital Video Program signs creative internship Memorandum of Understanding with Production Industry

Neapolis University Pafos (NUP) puts a major emphasis on the professional and work experience students receive throughout their studies, preparing them for their entrance into the market. Digital Video Production program announces the internship designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional workplace. Unified Entertainment Production (UEP) who specializes in film related productions in Cyprus and Hungary, agrees to an exclusive memorandum of understanding signed by DVP program Director Jason Georgiades and UEP co-chair Valentine Nonyela. Mr. Nonyela who is also an accomplished filmmaker and actor states “UEP is committed to advancing the audiovisual sector in Cyprus. This innovative internship collaboration with Neapolis University’s DVP programme, is truly win win, as it allows us to increase productivity whilst students gain the valuable work experience required to be job ready at the completion of their course.” The agreement promises students in the DVP program who are interested in production based work on film projects, the opportunity to work with his company to learn more about the process from a hands-on perspective. The internship creates an entry level position for future work in the field and also adds to the student professional resume. University Rector and Professor Pantelis Sklias was present at the signing to formalize the agreement adding, “I am glad that the Digital Video Production program further enhances the prospects of professional orientation of our students. Neapolis University has a firm commitment towards this direction and today we have signed an important MoU marking a new step for the career prospects of our students”.
