The Master of Landscape Architecture program of Neapolis University in Cyprus, in collaboration with the BIOforLIFE project run by the Centre for Environmental Studies, organized in Neapolis University in Cyprus on May 7, meeting for the presentation of the Educational Material Package Biodiversity Cyprus EnviroPack, program that belongs to the European program LIFE +.
The presentations began with Dr Julia Georgi, Assoc. Prof. Landscape Architecture, Head of Department of Architecture and geoenvironmental Sciences who presented the topic Design of school yards for environmental education purposes, followed by exposure of students of Architecture of Landscape Architecture course where students Nikoleta Peter, Christina Demetriades, Lefteris Vomvolakis, Victoria Aristodimou Nikos Varlagkas, Viliotis Lia, Alice Tornazaki, presented the design of the surroundings of Moutalou Elementary School.
A discussion followed the students with the community about their proposals.
Then there was a presentation by executives of the Foundation Terra Cypria / Project BIOforLIFE of EnviroPack Mrs. Panagiota Koutsofta, Research Officer and Mrs Michael Kyriaki, Educator and Environmentalist Officer.
Greeting at the event addressed the Mayor of Paphos Mr. Fedonas Fedonos, which among others stressed the importance of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture Program, which involved studying and the Paphos municipality issues, and the Rector of Neapolis University in Cyprus, Professor Spyros Makridakis welcomed the guests.
