Neapolis University in Cyprus, and more specifically its Department of History, Politics and International Studies, is now a full member of the European Doctoral School on the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) Initiative.
The European Doctoral School on the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) is an initiative launched in 2017 by prominent Universities, think tanks and the European Security and Defence College, aiming to develop a range of training and provide support for doctoral research on the CSDP in the EU.
Its objective is to develop a critical mass of scientific and academic expertise, that brings together supervisors and mentors and promotes the exchange of knowledge, skills and competences on European security and defence with a view to providing support for PhD level research reflecting on the CSDP.
Neapolis University in Cyprus, through its participation in this specific initiative, aims to highlight and further strengthen the excellent academic work already conducted by the PhD candidates within the doctoral programmes and the University’s faculty, based on intensive and original research, and to bridge and interconnect academic excellence with the contemporary and future issues and challenges arising from matters of security and defense, both at a global and regional level.
