On Thursday 21 November 2019, a highly successful event took place at the premises of the Museum of Pancyprian Gymnasium in Nicosia. The main speaker of the event was Professor Solon Xenopoulos, Dean of the School of Architecture, Land and Environmental Sciences, Neapolis University in Cyprus. The Lecture was titled:
“PANCYPRIAN GYMNASIUM AS AN INSPIRING SOURCE FOR ARCHITECTURE”
Prof. Xenopoulos as an ancient alumni of the Gymnasium spoke of his school memories, which followed and shaped him during the period of his studies in Athens of the ‘60s, but also in his career in the science of Architecture. Furthermore, as a source of creative inspiration, they helped him communicate with all the great names of contemporary Greek civilization, science and intelligence, such as Theodorakis, Chatzidakis, Tsarouchis, Pikionis, Zenetos, Ritsos, Elitis, Moralis, etc.
