The Mayor of Paphos, Phaedon Phaedonos and the Rector of Neapolis University in Cyprus, Professor Spyros Makridakis, met today at the Town Hall to discuss the possibilities and prospects for developing a close cooperation in various fields between the Municipality of Paphos and the Neapolis University in Cyprus.
In the meeting, concrete ideas and opinions were exchanged, to launch a cooperation between the two organizations and to use resources from funds and other sources of European Union, as well as to attempt initiatives concerning studies or actions with immediate impact on the development of Paphos. This should include the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship to boost the economy and culture of the city, with a focus on young people.
The meeting was also attended by Professor of Neapolis University in Cyprus, Joseph Hassid and the Municipal Secretary, Themis Philippides.
