The European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC), organized the 15th annual Erasmus Congress and Exhibition – ERACON 2019, which was held in Cyprus, on the 1st -5th of May 2019. Erasmus Coordinators, Placement and Internships Managers, Researchers and Professionals with an interest in the Erasmus Programme and who belonged either to the academic or business world, were invited to participate in the Congress to present and submit written papers from their own experiences in areas related to the Erasmus Programme.
Neapolis University in Cyprus organized the Reception after the Opening Ceremony of the Eracon Conference on May 2nd 2019. Neapolis welcomed the participants of the Conference as well as the participants of the Staff Week which was organized for 13 Erasmus Coordinators and Erasmus Officers. The Rector of Neapolis University, Professor Pantelis Sklias, welcomed the organizers of the Conference, the European Association of Erasmus Coordinators, the Representatives of the European Commission, the Director of the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes, and the participants of the conference. Professor Pantelis Sklias underlined the great importance of this event which was organized by the EAEC. The Participants’ interest in the Erasmus program brought them together to exchange ideas and work in an effort to further develop cooperation between Universities or Higher Education Institutions and the Labor Market.
The participants of the Conference were representatives of Universities from 40 different European Countries. The Participants had the opportunity to enjoy traditional Cypriot Dances from the Folklore Association “Ktima”.
