Neapolis University in Cyprus Assistant Professor Jason Georgiades Wins Award at International Film Festival

Assistant Professor and Director of the Digital Video Production Program Mr. Jason Georgiades was awarded with “Best Action Film” for his short film “Through Fire She Calls”, at the 2018 International Berlin Science Fiction Film Festival in Berlin, Germany. The short film is loosely based on Mr. Georgiades’s great Uncle, Private George Kontogiannis, who was killed in action during World War I. Playing George is actor Anthony Nikolchev who was semi-finalist for best lead actor. In addition, Mr. Georgiades was also a semi-finalist in the Best Director category.
