Neapolis University Pafos hosted the 5th Doctoral Colloquium of the Cyprus Rectors’ Conference, which took place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the University’s premises in Pafos.
The event brought together doctoral candidates and members of the academic community from universities in Cyprus and abroad, confirming its role as a meeting point for the presentation and discussion of doctoral research.
During the Colloquium, contemporary research approaches were presented, highlighting the scientific work produced across universities in the country, covering a wide range of academic disciplines. Participants presented their research, engaged in discussions, and received feedback from academics, strengthening both the quality and development of their research work.
The event also featured a keynote speech by Professor Constantine Dovrolis, Director of the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC), focusing on current research challenges and the role of universities in shaping new knowledge and enhancing scientific output.
In his statement, the Rector of Neapolis University Pafos, Professor Pantelis Sklias, noted:
“The Doctoral Colloquium is a meaningful initiative of the Cyprus Rectors’ Conference. It is a great honour for Neapolis University Pafos to host this event, which highlights the level of research activity taking place across universities in the Republic of Cyprus. The 5th Doctoral Colloquium was organised under the framework of the Cyprus Rectors’ Conference, with the participation of all Cypriot universities in both the organisational and scientific processes, reinforcing collaboration and connections within the academic community.
