Participation of Neapolis University Cyprus in ERACON 2015 (Erasmus Congress and Exhibition)

Neapolis University in Cyprus participated in the Erasmus Congress and Exhibition ERACON 2015, which was organized and held between 12-17 May 2015 with great success at Porto, Portugal. The Congress was organized under the patronage of Mr.  Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. The ERACON belongs to the European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC). During the week of the congress all the participants had the great chance to attend special seminars and workshops at the Ιnstituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, School of Engineering – Polytechnic of Porto.

The participants who attended the ERACON Congress and Exhibition were ERASMUS Coordinators, Placement and Internships Managers, Career Officers, Researchers and Professionals with an interest in the ERASMUS Programme and belong either to the academic or business world. All of them participated in the Congress, made presentations and submitted written papers on their experiences in areas related to the ERASMUS Programme. Neapolis University in Cyprus was represented by the Erasmus and Quality Assurance Officer Mrs. Georgia Christou. Many Universities including Neapolis University have also participated in the exhibition which was held during the Congress and its aim was to increase the networking activity between Universities for the promotion of new exchanges. Also, Neapolis University in Cyprus has participated in the poster paper session and competition.

Neapolis University in Cyprus through ERACON 2015 increased and enhanced the international networks with other European Universities, and also enriched the links and the relations with the other Erasmus Coordinators. The University had also the great chance to increase the Inter Institutional Agreements with other European Universities and promote the students’ and staff’s mobility.
