Dr. Stelios Sofocli professor of Neapolis University in Cyprus, participated in the Symposium for Bernd Groenwald (1941-1991) for the celebration of its 75 years since birth. The Symposium was organized by the Bauhaus Institute of History and Theory of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Mr. Groenwald was Professor of Aesthetics of Architecture at Bauhaus University in Weimar, a member of the Academy of GDR Sciences and Director of Institute of Architecture of GDR.
Mr. Groenwald was the main person responsible for the reopening of Bauhaus in Dessau City, where World Symposiums originally take place every two years, with renowned Professors of Bauhaus from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, America and other countries.
Professor Dr. Stelios Sofocli spoke about the “Academic and social influences on foreign students through their relationship with Professor Groenwald during their studies at Bauhaus University ¨.
