In a solemn ceremony at the First High School Archbishop Makarios III in Paphos the awarding ceremony for the contest “Dimitraki and Aggelikoylla Georgioy Stylianidi” was held on January 29, 2014 The awards were established in 1998 Dimitrakis Stylianidis, former Chief of Justice, to promote the study, of Greek history and the education of human rights. The general subject was “The Greek Education and Human Rights”, and every year the Ministry of Education and Culture gives a subsection of this. The committee decided to award the first prize to Maria Moses, a student of the Lyceum Kykkos in Paphos and the Second Prize to Stathis Alexander, a student of the Lyceum Saint Neophytos in Paphos. The The event was introduced by Andreas Masouras, Lecturer of Communication and Media Policy of the Neapolis University in Cyprus and President of the Institute of Applied Communication Research. Mr. Masoura spoke about “The Role of Media for building democratic and just society”.
