Neapolis University and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST), School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of China: Negotiating Collaboration

On June 14th-21st of 2016 Dr. Julia Georgi, Assoc. Professor, Head of the Department of Architecture, Land & Environmental Sciences, was invited to lecture at the Zhejiang University of Science and Technology(ZUST),School of Civil Engineering and Architecture. During her visit, Dr. Georgi presented the Program of Architecture and the Master in Landscape Architecture of Neapolis University in Cyprus to the academic community of the Department of Architecture and the Department of Urban Planning  of ZUST University. She also attended students’ studio work and presentations at both Departments.

Dr. Julia Georgi, had the chance to meet with the Vice President of ZUST University Dr. Youqu ZHENG, the Director of the Office of International Relations Prof. Xia JIANZHONG, the Dean of the Faculty Prof. Zhan-You Luo, the Deputy Dean and Secretary General Prof. Zhan JUN. The discussions resulted in a common agreement to  establish a fruitful collaboration between the University of Neapolis and the University of ZUST in education (student exchanges, joint programs) as well as in research.

The University of ZUST collaborates with EU universities in France , and Germany and offers joint degrees in civil Engineering and has a dynamic visiting professors program from the EU. In 2015 the President and the Deans of ZUST visited The Athens Polytechnic and the School of Fine Arts in Greece and have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the latter for faculty and student exchanges.
