On Friday October 30th students of the Department of Architecture, Land and Environmental Sciences, the 5th year students of the Bachelor in Architecture and the 2nd year students of the Master of Landscape Architecture, visited Eleftheria’s Square in Nicosia which is a significant project under construction designed by the Internationally recognized Architect, http://www.zaha-hadid.com/.
Principals from the construction company Lois Builders presented the design concept of the project and the construction methodology developed to effectively realize the project and guided the students at the construction site. Presentations were given by George Sarmaniotis, Architect-Landscape Architect, Dr. Iordanis Chitiroglou and Nicolas Lois, Board Member of the Construction Company. The students were escorted by Dr. Julia Georgi, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Architecture, Land and Environmental sciences of Neapolis University.
