On April 20th-2nd, 2016, Dr. Julia Georgi, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture and Head of the Department of Architecture, Land and Environmental Sciences, of Neapolis University in Cyprus, participated in the 53rd IFLA World Congress (International Federation of Landscape Architects) with an oral presentation of her paper “Vertical Gardens of Roberto Burle Marx: An Artistic expression”. Mrs. Georgi is also a member of the Steering Committee of the World Congress and was invited as the keynote speaker of the Forum: Education for Landscape Architecture presenting a speech on “Connecting Landscape Education, Research and Practice: Best Practices and Challenges in Europe”. The 53rd World Congress had an attendance of more than 800 participants from all over the world.
