With the initiative of the lecturers of the distance Μaster’s programme in Modern and Contemporary Greek and European History, a group of approximately 20 students visited the National History Museum in Athens on Sunday, January 19, 2020.
Students were accompanied and guided around the Museum’s exhibits by Assistant Professor Antonis Klapsis and Lecturer Katerina Papazacharia. During the tour of the Museum’s collection, the opportunity was given to discuss aspects of 19th and 20th century Greek history, focusing mainly on the founding and progress of the Greek state during this time period.
The visit is part of the broader context of the postgraduate programme’s initiatives to strengthen links between teachers and students, create a vibrant academic community and implement innovative educational activities.
